
Alok Singh is the founder and Managing Partner. He leads the Litigation Practice at Our Firm.
Alok is an alumna from Bhopal University, has more than 20 years of experience and is registered with the Bar Council of Delhi.
Alok has vast experience in handling commercial litigation and involving complex legal issues. IP issues. Having started his career in 2002, he has worked with eminent Advocates and Senior Counsels in his early days. Having gained viable industry and legal experience, Alok cofounded SSK Advocates & Solicitors in 2012 with its principal office in Delhi.
Before expanding his foray into commercial / regulatory litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution practice Alok worked for many years as the Government Counsel and gained valuable first-hand experience in advising and strategizing enforcement and mitigating actions to corporate dealing with State entities.
Alok is adept in providing legal solutions in conflict situations – involving contractual disputes, government actions, regulatory changes, statutory violations. He regularly undertakes risk analysis and advises on key legal issues involved in commercial transactions with keen eye on resolution of (potential) conflict situations. Alok has had handled vast issues in sectors including Food & Drug, Telecom, Infrastructure, Pharmaceutical, Information Technology, Media, Television and Broadcast, Foreign Investments, Defense amongst many others.
He regularly advises on Food Laws and assists in compliance with regulations under the FSSA, 2006 and D&C Act. Alok represents before Arbitral tribunal(s) – Domestic as well as International and has been involved in advising and representing clients before DRT, NGT, NCLT, District Courts, High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.
Some of the key projects where Alok has been a part of are:
1. Representation of a public outsourcing company in connection with the sale of its supply chain management division.
2. Representation on the Pricing of new drug to be launched under the DPCO, 2013.
3. Representation of a large energy corporation in connection with the spin-off of its subsidiary, and subsequent merger with Holding Company.
4. M&A counsel to a seller of telecommunications assets, including video, voice and data distribution systems.
5. Negotiating and documenting roll-up of several limited liability companies holding oil and natural gas properties in the western United States.
6. Representing a natural gas exploration and production company in connection with obtaining a $30 million production loan from a large multinational bank.
7. Legal advice to US clients on setting up of 100% STPI Company in India.
8. Worked on a merger deal for an educational institute in Belgium.
