Avinash has in depth knowledge and experience of handling complex litigation. He heads the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical practice of the Firm. Avinash completed his law from National Law University, Lucknow in the year 2013 and is an Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India.
Before foraying into Independent Counsel Practice, Avinash was working with the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team of Economic Laws Practice
Avinash regularly advises clients on a broad spectrum of contentious matters and has developed an expertise in laws relating to Companies Law, Securities & Capital Markets, Insolvency & Bankruptcy, Contracts, Pharmaceuticals, Telecom, Infrastructure, Information Technology, Media, Corporate frauds, and White-collar crimes/Economic offenses amongst many others.

1. Advised and represented Pharma companies in respect of disputes relating the Demand Notices issued under the DPCO.
2. Successfully led multiple Pharmaceutical Associations in their challenge to the ban on Fixed Dose Combination before Delhi High Court and Supreme Court.
3. Played a key role in the challenge by the Independent Directors of IL & FS and Firestar Diamond International – to their impleadment in proceedings before the NCLT, NCLAT & the Supreme Court of India.
4. Advising and strategizing the ongoing dispute pertaining to India’s largest infrastructure lending group before the NCLT, NCLAT & the Supreme Court
5. Represented and assisted the market regulator in respect of multifarious issues in Appeals filed before the Supreme Court.
6. Successfully represented Canadian Infrastructure Company in respect of disputes pertaining to infrastructure contracts and labour laws
7. Advised a major political party of India in respect of succession of the party and the right to contents under the existing party symbol.
8. Representing the market regulator in respect of various critical issues affecting its jurisdiction in Appeal filed before the Supreme Court.
9. Played a key role in the enforcement of Foreign Arbitral award across multiple jurisdictions in India on behalf of major Oil supplier group.
10. Leading the defence on behalf of Dutch Company in respect of Arbitral award before the Court hearing the execution and setting aside of the award proceedings.
11. Assisted in matter relating to challenge to the levy of Entry Tax by the state governments, before the 9 – Judge Bench of the Supreme Court.
12. Worked along with the Special Counsel for CBI before the Supreme Court in the Coal Block Allocation scam issue.
